Dj WASP a long-standing figure in the Belgian drum & bass and jungle scene. Active since the mid 90s, he first gained recognition with Gamorah Sound, one of the key crews that helped shape Belgium’s early D&B landscape and among the first to bring the sound to major stages like Pukkelpop. After Gamorah Sound disbanded, he kept pushing drum & bass as DJ Wasp, launching the Belgian edition of the international Therapy Sessions concept, which became a cornerstone for dark drum & bass in the country. Under his Primate alias, he explored bass music more broadly, especially dubstep, leading to the creation of LOOP, one of Belgium’s leading dubstep events. His sets are known for precise mixing, seamless genre blending and live track edits. His online mixes and radio shows have brought international recognition, with performances at drum & bass and jungle events and festivals such as Let It Roll, Tomorrowland, Rampage, Laundry Day and Pukkelpop, among many others, as well as shows across the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Israel, Poland, Canada, the US, Romania, Denmark and the Czech Republic. Wasp’s music has appeared on respected labels including Love For Low Frequencies, Membrain and Hornets Nest, keeping a strong foothold in the bass music scene.
